Post Retirement Plans
My mother finally retired 3 months ago from the working world at the age of 57 after being in the work force for more than 35 years. However, she wasn’t intending to just sit at home and enjoy the rest of her golden years like most retirees. She has, for quite some time been planning on starting a small business in order to occupy her free time. Seeing that she has always been good with finger work, she has decided to give the jewelry business a try. The current trends, according to my sister, are not those expensive 10 plus carat diamond rings or necklaces but of simple bracelets or earrings made of rhinestones or crystal beads.
Since mum will be dealing with crystals and rhinestones, their quality is of utmost importance. And there was only one brand that ensures excellence of such items, which is swarovski. The swarovski rhinestones and swarovski crystal beads from Austria has, throughout the years been renown for its excellent quality in terms of the stones’ cut and design. Hence, we ended up checking the internet for retailers who were selling swarovski crystals & rhinestones and swarovski beads in bulk as bulk purchasing is usually more cost efficient than single purchases. Since mum was still new to purchasing goods online, she was a bit hesitant and slightly suspicious of the authenticity of the online retailer.
However, I reassured and informed her that the seller has a great reputation as several testimonies and reviews about them have been posted on the internet. Furthermore, the retailer ensured a full refund or exchange for defects. We ended up selecting 5 different types of rhinestones and crystal beads as mum wanted the buyers to have a wider variety to choose from. The package of rhinestones and crystal beads arrived the following week in a well protected parcel to avoid and damages to product. Mum was glad that she listened to my advice and was happy that she could finally get her business moving. Well, that was about 3 months ago. As of today, mum’s jewelry shop continues to enjoy brisk businesses due to the quality and affordability of mum’s craft.
