Application essays are used by colleges, universities or companies
to learn why a student chose to apply to that school or organization. Application essays
allow students to succinctly express their opinion and present their
case. The evaluator will assess the applicant and decide whether or not
the applicant passes the entrance requirements. Application essays
allow applicants to demonstrate their writing skills, ability to
organize thoughts and express them clearly in words. This type of essay
shows the evaluators the uniqueness of the applicant and is one of the
most important elements of the admission process.

Application essays are aimed to assess the applicant’s creativity;
therefore, there are hundreds of possible topics that the applicant has
to write on. The application essay questions are open-ended, meaning
that there cannot be one correct answer. Rather, these questions allow
applicants to take any side and support any position.

Like any type of written assignment, an online essay
is comprised of three parts: an introduction, a body part, and a
conclusion. It is essential to write your online essay by starting with
a good plan and brainstorming your ideas in short phrases. Write down
the main idea and brainstorm for and against it. This can be done by
writing something that you agree and disagree about you main idea.

You can organize, write, rewrite, edit and publish your online
essay. Moreover, it can be easily transferred to the word processing
program, e-mail application, or HTML editor.
The structure of an example essay
follows the rules of a traditional academic paper which means you
should begin with a thesis statement or main argument, follow it with
pieces of evidence supporting the argument, and ending it by stating
what your paper has shown. It is a good structure to use while making a
strong point. An example essay provides you with the opportunity to
present several points in support of a claim; therefore, it is
typically used for making persuasive arguments.

When composing an example essay it is important to choose a topic,
which offers a variety of examples in describing the subject. It makes
your paper more interesting to read. When using several examples a
writer may also describe how they differ from each other.
An example essay, just like other essays is composed of the
introduction, body, and conclusion. It should have a clear introduction
that starts out with a general sentence introducing your topic. Every
sentence following it should be more specific and introduce new
information. Your introduction should end with a specific thesis
statement that may include several main examples of the topic.
Ultimately, your example essay should include in the conclusion your
final thoughts on the topic and restate the thesis.
